Urša Časar, born in december 1994 in Ljubjana (Slovenia) took up the flute at the age of seven, at the local music school in Izola. Only a few years later she was awarded with the “Most promising young musician” title, and continued her studies at Koper’s Music and Arts Gimnasium (studying with mag. During the studies Urša participated in many masterclasses with world renowed flutists such as Bruno Canino, Michael Schmidt, Susan Hoeppner, Giampaolo Pretto, Janos Balint, Laura Levai Aksin, Silvia Careddu, Guo Liang Han and many others; as well as played concerts in many chamber groups – nowadays most actively with a flute organic called ‘Le Agane’, with which she performed also in China, at the 2019 CFA Flute festival in Quingdao. In the years that followed she also broadened her knowledge in pedagogic and andragogic studies and is currently working as a flute teacher.
