Music improvisation workshop

From Melody to Improv
Curious about improvisation but not sure where to start?
Join us this summer at Cultural Creative Corner for a deep-dive into the worldof music improvisation!
In this workshop, we’ll explore how to move from playing written melodies to creating your own variations and ideas. We’ll start with simple rhythmic and melodic variations and gradually dive into improvising using different scales and modes— always focusing on making beautiful, expressive lines.
Along the way, we’ll discover how to play with others; through musical interplay, we’ll learn how to respond, support, and create something together in the moment. It’s a playful and supportive space to begin your improvisation journey, open to all instruments and voices!
